This 32 hectare property is situated on the west coast of the foot of Yorke Peninsula near Formby Bay. It is situated behind a series of large sand dunes that run along the coast. The area has fragmented patches of remnant bush and 10 hectares of this property, along with one adjacent will be revegetated adding to the habitat of the region.

The area under revegetation forms part of the Carribie water basin, an important source of water for the local population as mains water is not available. This site has a low lying area suffering salinity and revegetation around this area will help to mitigate the surface soil issues. The dominant species present include Acacia leiophylla, Acacia nematophylla, Allocasuarina verticillata, Bursaria spinosa, Eucalyptus diversifolia and Melaleuca lanceolata

Direct Seeding

Direct seeding took place on 24-Aug-11. Conditions were excellent. Soil moisture was good with initial weed control having been undertaken on 12-Jul-11. 25km of rows were seeded using 13.5kg of seed.
