2011 Community Achievement Award

Trees for Life received a special commendation in the prestigious Fivestar Print Environment and Sustainability Award at the 2011 Community Achievement Awards on Friday night 25th November at the Stamford Grand Adelaide in Glenelg.

Trees for Life was one of our nominees from a strong field and was presented by Tony Piccolo, Member for Light in front of 300 guests from across the State. Channel 7's, Mike Smithson hosted the Awards.

The award was accepted by TFL staff members Leanne Mladovan and Alex Coombe

2011 WWF Earth Hour Awards

Founders of Trees For Life win Lifetime Achievement Award

The Founders of Trees For Life, Burr Dodd and Lolo Houbein were chosen as overall winners in the in the Lifetime Achievement category at the inaugural WWF Earth Hour Awards held earlier this year in Sydney They were selected for their work in establishing Trees For Life through the 'free tree' program to encourage landholders to revegetate and engaging city dwellers to help by growing the seedlings for these landholders.

The award was presented to Trees For Life sponsorship Manager, Glenys Perri, in Sydney at a gala ceremony in Sydney on the eve of Earth Hour on Saturday 26th March.

The newly established Minter Ellison SA/NT Foundation in its first round of funding has committed to support the Trees For Life schools education program 'Schools Big Backyard' with a $2000 donation over 2 years .

Each year Trees For Life recognises some of our outstanding volunteers for their hard work and help throughout the year.

Volunteers are nominated for Thank You Tree Awards by fellow members and this year 44 awards were presented at last nights Christmas function.
