BAT activities are available to members who have completed a free, one-day Bush For Life workshop

BAT is a program of Trees For Life’s bush management program, Bush For Life. Trained in minimal disturbance weeding techniques, BAT volunteers work across many precious areas of bushland, addressing environmental problems and making improvements to bushland degraded by invasive weeds.

Most BAT activities are conducted on Bush For Life sites, so the work you do is followed up by the regular site based volunteers or future BAT days.

Extended BAT trips usually run over three days and two nights with work scheduled on a variety of sites from Yorke Peninsula up to the Mid North and into the Murraylands. These trips are always enjoyable on a work and social front.

There is no cost to you as all accommodation, transport and food is provided.

BAT activities may range from using minimum impact drill and fill techniques on controlling feral olives on a reserve in the City of Burnside; to controlling broom on a private property under Heritage Agreement at Macclesfield.

New volunteers are always welcome!
