It all began back in 1995, when Ultra Tune director Tim Carracher was concerned about the excessive carbon fumes being emitted when an engine was due for servicing. Being in the automotive industry, Ultra Tune was very aware that cars have an impact on the environment, so to help counter act this Ultra Tune decided to make a donation to TFL for every car serviced at all 20 Ultra Tune locations in South Australia, and continues to do so as part of their commitment to the environment.
Realising that South Australia had been excessively over cleared, Ultra Tune also contributed funds towards the initial purchase of the Direct Seeding machine when Trees For Life first began providing the service of Broadscale revegetation.
Ultra Tune is a conservation sponsor of Trees For Life. This contribution assists the Bush For Life program in the preservation of our native vegetation. These small remaining parcels of bushland are threatened by invasive weed species, so it is vital to ensure their preservation as a vital food source and habitat for native wildlife. Through the support of Ultra Tune the work of our volunteers in conservation continues to preserve these precious parcels of habitat for our unique native flora and fauna.
