The following exemptions summary information applies to all registered growers this season due to the level 3 water restrictions.
Exemptions will be granted to TFL registered growers, that is members who are registered volunteer growers or those growing their own seedlings
• Every volunteer grower who does not want to use only a watering can must fill in a Water Restrictions Permit Request Form
• Anyone with a pension number, or a physical disability
(may require support with doctor’s certificate) which prevents them using a watering can, may apply for an exemption allowing them to water with a handheld hose fitted with a trigger nozzle between the hours of 5 am to 7 am and 7 pm to 11 pm on any day
• Able bodied growers can water with a watering can at any time but can apply for the following special exemptions …
> All TFL Registered Growers may apply for a permit to water with a hand held hose fitted with a trigger nozzle between 1 pm and 2 pm on any day forecast to be over 30 degrees, or if they are not at home during the day they can apply for a permit to water with a hand held hose fitted with a trigger nozzle between 6 pm and 7 pm on any day forecast to be over 30 degrees.
> Other Registered Growers may be entitled to exemptions based on individual circumstances.
