Volunteer Growing

Grow native seedlings over summer and help re-green our environment.

Trees for Life's Tree Scheme, began in 1981 and is the largest volunteer seedling program in Australia.

Volunteers are provided with the materials, training and resources to grow local native seedlings for landholders and revegetation projects across South Australia.

You will join around 1000 other South Australians who volunteer their time to help the environment by growing seedlings over summer in their backyards.

All you will need to participate is:

  • A sunny spot in your backyard
  • Time to water the seedlings daily
  • Commitment to doing a good job

Volunteer Growers can register between July through September, with numbers confirmed in October.

You will then collect your growing supplies in November from a depot near you.

To register for the 2012 growing season phone 8406 0500 or complete the form below. Your details will be kept on file and we will contact you in September of 2012 to confirm your interest.
