Trees for Life's Tree Scheme, began in 1981 and is the largest volunteer seedling program in Australia.
Volunteers are provided with the materials, training and resources to grow local native seedlings for landholders and projects across South Australia.
Coordinated by Maureen Redfern, the Tree Scheme involves over 2500 volunteers to help grow over one million seedlings each year, with over 27 million seedlings grown to date.
