Workshops and Events

Introductory Bush Regeneration Workshops

Learn how to help restore bushland for biodiversity using minimal disturbance strategies and techniques and working safely in the bush.

This workshop is the first step for those wanting to volunteer with the Bush For Life program.
Why not ask a friend to come to the workshop with you?

After the workshop you will have the opportunity to adopt a bushcare site of your own or take part in our extensive program of groups activities, called Bush Action Teams (BATs).

Advanced Workshops

After attending the Introductory Workshop and practicing their skills on a Bush For Life site volunteers may like to extend their knowledge by coming to one of our advanced workshops.

Each year we offer a range of workshops on topics such as:

  • Introduction to plant identification
  • Grass identification and management
  • Brushcutting for biodiversity
  • Broadleaf weed control in grassy ecosystems

Come & Try 'a bush care' activity first

We have a number of 'Come & Try' bush care days so you can give it a go first, then decide later if it's something you'd like to get more involved in.
